Why Longevity Matters

The world is living longer, but not necessarily healthier. Millions of older adults spend their later years managing preventable declines in strength, mobility, and independence.

At Anew Fitness, we believe longevity is not simply living longer; it's maintaining the physical ability to enjoy life longer.

Through structured movement, strength training, balance work, and mobility exercises, we help seniors increase their healthspan: the years spent living independently and actively.

Our Story

A Loss Gave Us a Purpose

Anew Fitness was born from a deeply personal experience in 2018. Frederick Griffith, our founder, watched his mother face an unimaginable struggle. What started as a minor toe injury quickly escalated to a life-alternating amputation due to financial constrictions and limited long-term care. At that moment of grief, Frederick found his purpose: to help seniors stay vibrant and connected.

What started as a personal mission has grown into a movement. And now, we help seniors embrace their bodies, challenge their limits, and step into a future filled with energy and independence.

Online Class

Turn Up Thursday: Free Weekly Virtual Fitness for Seniors

AARP and Anew Fitness have partnered to launch "Turn Up Thursday," a free weekly online fitness class designed for seniors. Led by Anew Fitness Founder and CEO Frederick Griffith every Thursday at 10:30 AM CST, the virtual sessions focus on improving strength, balance, and mobility to help older adults nationwide stay active and independent from home.

Since partnering with Anew Fitness at Kinship, we have seen an increase in membership, mobility, and balance among our seniors. Partnering with Anew Fitness has been the best decision we've ever made.

Before joining Anew Fitness, getting out of bed was a struggle due to my arthritis. After a few weeks of chair yoga and strength training, I feel revitalized!
